Welcome to the Group of Plant Nutrition

• The Group of Plant Nutrition is a multidisciplinary team consisting of soil scientists, agronomists, biologists, geologists and administrative / technical staff.
• Our research and teaching focus on element cycling in agro- ecosystems; in research we place emphasis on the processes and mechanisms that control the transfer of elements from the soil to the roots.
• Our aim is to propose concepts to ensure adequate mineral nutrient supply to crops while maintaining the natural resource base and minimizing negative impacts on the environment.
• As a partner of several national and international institutes, we contribute to a general research effort aimed at improving agricultural systems towards sustainable production.
